An easier way? - Submitted by my-fellow-degenerates.tumblr.com

Okay! I don’t know if this makes sense because I’ve had no sleep and just found this and am really excited.

Assuming we figure out where to send everything - What if we nixed the actual chain mail part (I know this might sound kind of insane considering the name of this project, but bear with me) and just picked a specific date when everybody will send their stuff to her? We wouldn’t have to worry about the issues of privacy and cost for the person who then has to ship everything themselves, and while she wouldn’t get them all at once, they’d start to trickle in from different parts of the world and build up.  Since she’s probably getting tons of stuff mailed to her already, maybe we could identify ourselves from here with something small like a logo on the packages … something, anything, just as long as it’s consistent with each one?

Again, no idea if this will be of any help of all, just throwing it out there! I love Gaga and I love sending mail, so I’d really like to do everything I can to help get this off the ground.

This is definitely a different way of looking at it and could definitely be a starting off point for another idea. Although I do think it is important that all the letters arrive at the same time. Because having a small logo or something it would mean that Gaga would have to sit around and literally look through all of her fan mail to make the connection. Something I doubt, she does. It’s an interesting idea though, and should be something to consider if all else fail. — Louise. x

"I think I remember hearing that Gagadaily has her manager's e-mail address? If that's true then Gagadaily might know or be able to get the fanmail address. Also, I think if we could avoid doing all of it through e-mails and Tumblr posts, that'd be great. Not just because some peoples' messages may be more private, but because I think it would be beautiful if we could give her a bunch of hand-written letters. It seems more personal."

Even if we get her managers e-mail address, that’s something! I’ll e-mail them right now! Yeah I do agree about the handwritten letters, they would be so much more beautiful and personal but there is a lot of issues surrounding the postage of them etc, hopefully we can sort something out though!

"This is a very unimportant idea but it just popped into my head. If we do the scrapbook then we should write a cover letter (just explaining the book and how it came about) to go on the front page, and everyone who works on the cover letter should have their part in a different color. That way sh can visualize how many paws put this together!"

"Hey :D so I was thinking about who to send the chain mail to, and then I remembered I sent some late Christmas presents today to Gaga's parent's apartment for Gaga! So, I don't know, but we could use the Germanotta's address? The address I used is the real one, I found it through their home phone number since Mr. Germanotta never enlisted it from the phonebook :)"

Oh really? That is very interesting! This might sound a little dumb but it kinda seems too easy. Like I’m sure the Germanotta’s have some way of diverting all this Gaga Fan Mail away from their home, they probably get a LOT of it. Although, this is a massive step forward, the fact we have at least one address, so thank you so much for that!

"Who is officially in charge of this? that is the person who should be contacting anyone by phone or email. Her website might be the best place to start looking first but google search it and you might find something usefull."

Well, I guess for now, because I’m still just starting the project up, I would be in charge of it. Although, I don’t like that phrasing, I wouldn’t like to think anyone is fully in charge of this, everyone needs to pull their weight to make this work. I just checked her website… and no look there :(

"yeah a book is a great idea. i also thought about perhaps who feels comfortable with it, to make videos on youtube talking about gaga, why they love her, what she means to us etc, and then posting the link of those videos so gaga could go watch them as well :D"

"I would like to point out that that both email and postal are good ideas. for those who cannot send postal can still write a letter and scan it. If enough people do it, notice will probably be taken sooner or later by fanmail.. but is there anyway to contact someone like her agent or a person who deals with stuff like this?"

I’m not so sure. I’m guessing a lot of people try and contact her agent/person who deals with fan mails, which makes it very difficult for us. But I will definitely start looking into contact addresses, everything is worth a try!

"This is a long shot but perez Hilton responds to a lot of tweets from fans. He has also brought many things to gaga's attention. Maybe we could get his attention first?"

It is a longshot but it could happen, definitely something to consider. An even bigger longshot is to get the ‘Little Monster Chain Mail’ trending. I know that would involve a lot of twitterers tweeting at once, but it’s also a way of getting peoples notice! The Perez Hilton idea is excellent though, are there any other celebrities/pals of Gaga that this idea might work with?

Yes, this could also be a way around it! Perhaps those who wish to post their letters can still post them, and those letters can be then added into the scrapbook. Or even just left in their envelopes and added to the scrapbook, I’m sure some people might like to keep the content for only Gaga to see. But the problem still remains, where do we send the scrapbook to? I really like the scrapbook idea though!
